The 3rd IABC

A flagship forum for aqueous energy storage

IABC connects leading scientists and industry stakeholders working across emerging chemistries, novel materials, interfacial mechanisms and practical battery systems.

The conference was initiated by Prof. Dongyuan Zhao and Prof. Jun Chen as a high-level international platform dedicated to safe, low-cost and environmentally sustainable energy storage. The 2026 edition continues this tradition in Hong Kong, with an emphasis on open academic exchange and application-oriented research.

Topics span aqueous alkali-metal-ion batteries, zinc-based batteries, aluminium-ion batteries, redox flow batteries, aqueous air batteries and the technologies required to move these systems from fundamental research toward deployment.
